I have been a professional photographer most of my life. It has always been my belief that it's the creative talent, not the tool, which determines the outcome of the image that is being created.
My background includes working as staff photographer for Fairchild Publications, (publishers of NY fashion magazines), Women's Wear Daily, Men's Wear, and 'W'. I have photographed many celebrities, including, Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock, Bing Crosby, Patty Duke, Ed Sullivan, Bill Cosby, Liza Minnelli, Andy Warhol, Princess Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Kennedy, and other well known celebrities of their time.
Some of my past assignments and accomplishments include:
- Aerial Photography - Taking weekly progress photographs of construction projects from a helicopter. Projects, such as the Twin Towers during their construction from the ground up, until completion.
- Freelance Assignments - Photographed models, runway shows, assignments for foreign fashion buyers, and special events. Experience with figure modeling and portraiture helped to round out my photographic career.
- Special Events - I personally photographed over 800 weddings, and was the first videographer, (at that time), simultaneously shooting stills and video footage with a two-camera custom mount.
- Business Ownership - I have owned and operated two full service wedding studios, which supplied everything for the prospective wedding couple, from gowns to photography and everything in between. I am proud of all my accomplishments as a photographer, however, as principal/publisher of "The Weekender", a family entertainment magazine, which I published on a monthly basis and mailed to 45,000 homes and businesses, gave me the greatest joy of my career.
